CNC lathe is an important equipment in current industrial production. It has the characteristics of high efficiency and high precision, and plays a very important role in the processing of various metal materials. As an important part of CNC lathes, guide rail bearings are responsible for maintaining the precise position of the tool during processing and ensuring that the processing quality meets the design requirements. But sometimes during the work process, we will find that the temperature of the guide bearing is too high, which will affect the normal operation of the lathe, lead to a decrease in the machining accuracy of the parts, and bring unnecessary losses to production. So, what are the reasons why the CNC lathe guide bearing temperature is too high?
First of all, the unreasonable design of jigs, tools and fixtures will affect the temperature of the guide bearings. The contact area and friction between accessories such as jigs, tools and fixtures and bearings will affect the operating temperature of the bearing. If the contact area of fixtures, tools, fixtures and other accessories is unbalanced and the friction is large, the heat generated by friction will increase relatively, causing the temperature of the bearing to rise.
Secondly, insufficient or excessive lubricating grease will cause the guide bearing temperature to be too high. If there is insufficient lubricating grease, the generation of friction will increase, and the frictional heat cannot be effectively dissipated, resulting in high temperature in the bearing. If there is too much grease, the contact between the grease and the bearing will be inhibited when the bearing enters high speed, which will also cause the bearing temperature to rise.
Finally, unreasonable tool selection and insufficient machining accuracy are also one of the reasons for the excessive temperature of the guide bearing. If the material and shape of the tool are not suitable for processing materials or do not meet the design requirements, then the friction and heat generation of the bearing will increase during the processing and cutting process, resulting in an increase in bearing temperature. In addition, if the machining accuracy is insufficient, there will be large errors during the work process, which will cause the bearing to be overloaded and cause it to generate high temperatures in a short period of time.
In short, excessive temperature of the guide bearing has a great impact on CNC lathes, so correct measures must be taken to avoid this phenomenon. For unreasonable designs of jigs, tools and fixtures, we should ensure that their contact areas are balanced and friction is moderate to ensure the normal operation of the bearings; for insufficient or excessive lubricating grease, we should ensure the appropriate amount and replace it in time. Avoid excessive friction; finally, for unreasonable selection of tools and insufficient processing accuracy, we should conduct comprehensive inspections and tests before work to ensure that the selection of tools and processing accuracy meet the requirements to avoid overload and overheating of the guide bearings.
